Steven Daniel

Steven manages ICT projects at ICT Consultancy and General Services (SL) Limited. He handles projects from system design through testing and handover, and he writes the user documentation that helps clients adopt the systems the company builds. His focus is on keeping the technical work tied to what clients actually need.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems from the University of Sierra Leone, where he graduated as the best student in his department. He is currently completing an MSc in Financial Engineering at WorldQuant University.

His technical work centres on Python, SQL, machine learning and data analytics. As a volunteer with the UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD), he taught Python through live coding sessions and recorded walkthroughs, and he designed the practical assignments learners worked through.

Steven completed advanced AI and machine learning training with the Developers Foundry Fellowship, run by Tech4Dev and the UK Naija Tech Hub. He is also an alumnus of the Frontier Tech Leaders Programme, a UNDP ICPSD initiative with the UN Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries. As a UN Volunteer, he helped set up the programme's local chapter in Sierra Leone.

He is interested in how data and reliable software can help organisations and communities in Sierra Leone run better.
